How would react the indies if someone just launched a RANDOM weapon to one of their main populated world ?

How does the game engine reacts to such an event ?

My goal is to conquer earth and to establish again my cult to these earthling. I would really be pissed off if a bastard just nuked the planet in front of my eyes.

Gammullians need slaves, the dead are not good slaves.

So I think it would easier if the main powers would agree to these rules of war :

LAW 1 : no planet who reached stade 3 shall never be destroyed. Nothing more than tactical nukes shall be used on such a world.

LAW 2 : no mass destruction devices shall be sneaked and detonated in any world.

LAW 3 : no intelligent race shall be obliterated.

Please remember that these are agreements. If these should be transgressed, well things could get ugly.

Note :

Stade 1 : colony established on planet

Stade 2 : colony reached agricultural level

Stade 3 : colony reached industrial level

Stade 4 : colony reached system wide industrial level

Stade 5 : major trade/industrial/populated world

Clueless newbie alert!!!

btw

  1. There are NO slaves in my game
  2. Read the game history before coming up with such ludicrous nonsense
  3. A good way to be banned, is coming up with nonsense like this.

Has to be one of the most generous clue X 4 posts that I've ever read.

There is only one true rule of war:  The victor makes the rules.

Sounds to me like you should go to the fleet section and sign up.

One of the greatest aspects of the BC community is role playing, but you're going to have to sign up and learn alot of info. Check out the General Fleet discussion group to ask about how to join.

Since using a RANDOM Device is an instant court-martial (is that for all castes, BTW?) I think that just about covers that.

If that's true, then why are stations actively selling them?

Maybe he just posted in the wrong forum.

Ok, a good place to start is to read the product page and the reviews. Hard to belive, but I guess it is possible to totally missenterpret the game.

For the same reason you are allowed to purchase them.

uh, and what might that reason be?

Or am I just supposed to read between the lines, nod, and then say thanks?

Back in line, Urza! *grin*

Look at it in modern day terms. You can buy a tactical nuclear weapon from ex-communist countries if you have the extreme amount of cash it requires. There's a market for them. Imagine of Osama bin Laden managed to get hold of one? He'd guarantee himself the enmity of almost the entire world. Probably a bit harsher than an instant court-martial, but there you go. Point is, they're sold because there is a market for them. Even if it is a black market.

Besides, in certain extreme situations, it is possible the use of a RANDOM device might be sanctioned by GalCOM. You never know what will happen in ACM...*grin*.
