Joe's got his review online now. Quite a good read and in such a limited space, he covered quite a bit.

Of course Joe played the game for almost three weeks I think. You've seen him post around here. I think his handle is PC Arena something.

My thoughts exactly Jamont, seems like this reviewer spent more then 10 minutes looking for Eye Candy, and actually sat down and PLAYED the game. (And it sounds like he got hooked.)

That is very true. One cannot make a judgement about BCM until they have played it for at least a day. The scope is too big to just peg BCM as a single genre.

Thanks guys - I'm glad you like what I've written. I played the game for about a month before finishing off the review, so I've got a good feel for the game, its also one which I'm going to carry on playing!

To move between planets and the area around them, there are jump gates and flux fields, which propel you instantly between one end and the other. (Again, absolutely vital, other wise its "real time trip to mars anyone?").
There are also wormholes, which allow you to jump between different locations, however your ship may take damage when using them, and you have no idea where you are going to end up - you could be in a black hole!

The guy made a mistake between flux fields and wormhole. Small mistake.

No problem, [PCA]Pheonix!

Jump points were technology created for vessels to "jump" from one star system or region to another. You can do this safely, without damage to your vessel.

Flux fields are a natural phenomenon that you can use in the same way as a jump point, however they have multiple entry and exit points. So, basically, you don't know where you will emerge once you enter it. You vessel will not take damage using these. It is important to note that some flux fields do end in black holes, which in itself is dangerous to your vessel.

Wormholes are also natural phenomenon that exist all over the galaxy. Now these are unstable and will cause damage to your vessel when you traverse them. Wormholes have a single entry and exit point and you can tell where they originate.

You can find more information in depth in the BCM Manual, page 36.
