ECS K7S5A 384mb RAM

Ati Radeon 8500 (6011 drivers, still some little issues but nealry perfect)

Windows XP

Space just flying around

165-180 FPS average

Space moderate Combat

70-120 FPS average

Space serious action

40-80 FPS average

Planetary flying around

70-90 FPS average

Asus GeForce 2 MX400 64mb [pure] drivers 23.11

Windows 98se french

Default settings (windows config)

800x600x32

All settings on, particle contrails

Space flying around

~80fps

Space low activity

~75fps

Space high activity

~65fps

Planetary flying around

Damn boy you aint kidding for comparison(and probably a good laugh I brought up the FPS for the first time last night)

PIII 600MHZ

Geforce 2 32MB GTS (23.11 drivers)

128MB ram

Windows 2000(batch file to run BCM at high priority)

800X600 16bit

Generally I get FPS of about 40-50

Haven't had space combat with the FPS up yet but I get some stops so I assume it DROPS!

Planet side I get somewhere between 30-40FPS(walking around a Insurgent base on recon at the time)

Generally runs fines.

Heierarchical Z and Z compression (hyperZ II) make a big difference on my card. The Athlon XP don't hurt either. heh

That right there, makes this thread (or at the very least, your numbers) pointless.

In order to post pure benchmarks, you need a controlled environment and configuration that is FREE of ANY and ALL driver enhancements not directly enabled by the game.

I think this weekend I will create two scenarios (one space and one planet) which have elements which stress the system. I will upload those to the server and those can be used for real benchmark numbers.

Awesome idea.

Who needs Quake 3 to bench your system anymore? Lets whip out BCMbench!! heh heh.

seriously though. Its will be nice to have a coupple of scenarios designed to Stress test or even MAXX out a system.

That'd be cool...I'd be anxious to compare my numbers with others just to see where I stand.

Please reconsider this idea of creating a series of benchmarks. I am having tremendous slow downs that have been dubbed "performance problems" in the general tech support forum. I argue that the magnitude of slowdown that I am experiencing with my system specs makes it a tech support issue rather than merely a performance issue because we're not talking about 30-40fps here. I'm dropping from the 130's to a sustained 10FPS even when all is clear. I'm unfortunately gonna need some standardized benchmarks to evaluate this...

I don't have time.

If you want to stress test your system, attack the New America station while playing as Terran/Military or one of the Gammulan stations.

Post your game config settings and compare with others.

I have said this before, the 2183 drivers are NOT very good, when compared to the 22x or 23x driver subset.

Your performance issues are NOT tech support related. If you run the game at the recommended requirements without changing a thing, the game will run properly.
