Guest Hellbinder[CE] Posted January 10, 2002 Report Posted January 10, 2002 Heierarchical Z and Z compression (hyperZ II) make a big difference on my card. The Athlon XP don't hurt either. heh [ 01-10-2002: Message edited by: Hellbinder[CE] ]

I will upload those to the server and those can be used for real benchmark numbers.[ 01-10-2002: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
Epsilon 5 Posted January 10, 2002 Report Posted January 10, 2002 Hey, to stress the system all you need is fleet command
Guest Hellbinder[CE] Posted January 10, 2002 Report Posted January 10, 2002 Awesome idea.Who needs Quake 3 to bench your system anymore? Lets whip out BCMbench!! heh heh.seriously though. Its will be nice to have a coupple of scenarios designed to Stress test or even MAXX out a system.[ 01-10-2002: Message edited by: Hellbinder[CE] ]

Gallion Posted January 10, 2002 Report Posted January 10, 2002 My script will stress your systems TTFN[ 01-10-2002: Message edited by: Gallion ]
Spider-man Posted January 23, 2002 Report Posted January 23, 2002 Please reconsider this idea of creating a series of benchmarks. I am having tremendous slow downs that have been dubbed "performance problems" in the general tech support forum. I argue that the magnitude of slowdown that I am experiencing with my system specs makes it a tech support issue rather than merely a performance issue because we're not talking about 30-40fps here. I'm dropping from the 130's to a sustained 10FPS even when all is clear. I'm unfortunately gonna need some standardized benchmarks to evaluate this...
Supreme Cmdr Posted January 23, 2002 Report Posted January 23, 2002 I don't have time.If you want to stress test your system, attack the New America station while playing as Terran/Military or one of the Gammulan stations.Post your game config settings and compare with others.I have said this before, the 2183 drivers are NOT very good, when compared to the 22x or 23x driver subset.Your performance issues are NOT tech support related. If you run the game at the recommended requirements without changing a thing, the game will run properly.
