Thats a bug. Resnig is such as ass

Send in the saved game and I will check it out.

To remove it, try using Playmod and jamming a valid weapon into the weapons slot.

aye aye sc...now off to find that post of how to send in saved games (i've seen how people get burnt to a crisp for sending in wrong files...don't need to do that myself )

one issue, however...i restored the same game (to a point before I had been attacked, and CC severely damaged to evacuate) that has the PSU stuck in missile slot, after my ship had become critically damaged (darn raider comin' out of nowhere) and now none of my marines in the shuttles can leave the shuttles, and my AE can't get to the shuttles, went into perscan, and AE gets stuck on Sdeck Aft Corridor..makes me wish that perscan showed a picture of the ship, so I could figure out why da heck my AE ain't moving...and why the marines can't get off the shuttles.

do you want me to still send in the save game, or try to duplicate it (basically, i think i should be able to duplicate it, haven't tried yet)

gonna try to duplicate the issue (got myself confused reading about saved games). reason being: i save two games normally: one when I first start (non-playmod edited) and then the second one for playmod edited (which in this case was playmod 1 and 3, and gave myself 50 million credits). i'll let you know if i can duplicate it (and send you in that file if you still want it) rather than the one i have currently, which seems to be broken in two ways (second way mentioned above-not able to get into or out of shuttles)

Okay, I managed to duplicate the problem. Here's what I did, in order:

1. Launched new game, campaign.

2. Saved game, quit BCM.

3. Ran playmod cheat 1 and 3, and set finances to 50000000 (to buy some of the fpi stuff, and some artifacts to go to a random star system to launch missiles)

4. Clicked on Resume

5. Docked at Galcom, sold all but 10 missiles (left 0 ata and 0 ats missiles, 5 vagrants 5 questars, 10 APM radix)

6. Bought random FPI, FPW items (1 each)

7. Bought all artifacts (was planning on taking over lennen spacestation, and then found i could launch missiles without it being locked...what an idea )

8. Left station, and used Hyperion to go Lennen system

9. Targetted Lennen spacestation (can't remember name of it) and hit spacebar repeatedly.

10. Ran out of STS missles, now have slots filled with APM radix (can't even take those out in Tactical per Loadout/CC/Missiles), along with FPI, FPW items (Die Raider, here comes a FPI PSU!! )

Do you want it even after it's been played with by playmod, or should I start over, and not use playmod at all?

i realize that, sc, which is why i had originally mentioned the issue under the other thread, since (with my complete lack of knowledge concerning programing) that it was caused possibly by playmod. but heck if i know

About the stuck personel, I had a similar problem once where none of my personal would goto quaters or other stations, rather theyd just jam up in one corrider, (not sure which). For the longest time, I was wondering, are they having a drinking party in Deck2 aft corrider or something? 'Cause they are just hanging out there. Then I discovered the problem. A recent engagement had caused extenesive damage to Cargo Hold 1, causing ALL food stores to float away. They were hungry! As soon as I stocked the galley, they happily ate and again became responsive and loyal troops. Check that your stores are full, that could be why your troops won't respond.

thanks goalie, i'll look into that...of course, i didn't think about that, and deleted the save game thinking it was caused by playmod use...but i'll try to remember to look for that if it happens again

Hello, I have a problem with running BCM on my computer. When I have been playing the game for about 5 - 30 minutes the computer stops responding and I have to manually reset it. The crash is always the same way and there is nothing I can do to get out of it (CTRL-ALT-DELETE doesn't work).

The main reason I'm disappointed is that the computer runs every other hardware hungry game that I can through at it Max Payne, Quake 3 Arena, Operation Flashpoint and Hitman just to name the biggest.

My specks are as follows AMD-650 Athlon, 512Mb memory, SBlive sound, Sparkle GeForce 2MX 64MB driver v28.32 (generic), BCM v1.006 and an MSI 6195 (K7 PRO) motherboard. If more information is needed then please let me know.

Thank you.

1. You're not running the currently supported version of the game

2. Read the FAQ and start from scratch. If you don't know how, check the forum archives.

3. In order to post a tech support issue, you have to include your system profile in your sig. Your post will be deleted within 24hrs unless you comply.

possible bug:

stash some large objects in your cargo pod so there is more total space used in the pod, IE, put like 30 OTS missiles in it, and then go to cancel... you'll lose the contents of the cargo pod ( at least the items that overflow)

Posted

You might want to explain that again - step by step. To me - it is as clear as mud.

sorry bout that...

fill your cargo pod till more space is used in the pod then in the bay that the stuff goes in(IE, put a few dozen ots in it), then hit the 'cancel' button- you lose the contents of the pod.

hope thats clearer.

edit: additional bugs

when flying with the jetpack, it is possible to make the water seem solid (IE, you can walk on it)

by flying to 2000-4000 feet, then dropping. you get injured, but the water is solid from then on.

also, when using AP to fly to an out-of-area object, it will sometimes redirect me to an irrelevent jump point (IE, im in jupiter/sol, i want to go to earth, my AP sends me to FLX-01, and i have to manually direct it back to where i want to go.)

I found a rather nifty bug (or perhaps a feature?). To reproduce, launch your shuttles and order them to go to a starstation. When they get there, order them to return to base, and then immediately order them to go to that same starstation. The result is them docking at the star station and appearing in you CC. I'm not sure if this works with fighters, but I know that it doesnÔÇÖt if your far enough away for them to HJ to you.

The AP never uses fluxfields.

That looks like a bug. Will check it out

Its not.

Where do the OTS units come from?

Are you docked at a station or doing this from your ship?

How is it possible for the space they no longer used (in the weapons pod) to not be available when they are put in the pod.

Unless you explain this more clearly, in a step-by-step fashion, I'm deleting both of these posts.

at a station

1- buy 10 OTS

2- load em into your cargo pod

3- buy another 10 OTS

*repeat till you have like 100 in your pod*

launch

4- go to the cargo screen in logistix, select the type of OTS you have loaded in the pod, making sure the amount of space used is more then your weapon bay can hold)

5- click cancel

the contents of the pod magically disappear, ive tried it twice, and the OTS have disappeared both times, except for the OTS that fit in the weapon bay.

Edit: Found a bug. It has to do with intruders destroying my sunflash's cloaking device... (yes i know the sunflash isnt supposed to have one but i got a message saying it was destroyed, and tradcom says i need a new one) Do you want to see a savegame with it?

What asset are you using? You do realize that assets have different cargo bay storage space, right?

What does this mean?

How are you determining this?

I have tried this with a sunflash, BCMK2, and a megaron. I am well aware of the different bay spaces.

having more OTS in the pod then the bay can hold, since any item only takes up one space in the pod

How are you determining this?

by looking at the space indicator in logistix-cargo

OK. I have reproduced this one. Would it have killed you to just been a LOT more clear in ONE post? You know, the edit function works.

Normally, here is how this would have been reported (which makes all the difference when I'm pressed for time). Take notes.

at a station

1- buy 10 OTS

2- load em into your cargo pod

3- buy another 10 OTS

*repeat till you have like 100 in your pod*

launch

4- go to the cargo screen in logistix, select the type of OTS you have loaded in the pod, making sure the amount of space used by the weapons contained in the cargo pod is more than your weapon bay can hold if the weapons in the cargo pod were transfered to the weapons bay

5- click cancel

the contents of the pod magically disappear because the total amount of space used by the 100 OTS missiles contained in the pod will exceed the free space in weapons pod 2 where the OTS missiles are. At which point, the pod space will reset to 500 (from 400) because the missiles have now been deleted

Will look into it.

When reporting more than one bug, please separate the reports properly in the post so that they are not missed. I missed this one and only just noticed it.

UPDATE: Unable to reproduce this one. Its not what I thought it was. So, if you have proof of this occurence - say a saved game - I'd like to see it.

Yeah it does. Read it again. The whole thread

And before you send it, please describe here, how you came to this conclusion. Don't send me emails and saved games if you can't prove it.
