Loading the Game

I've loaded My Game and have gotten the following Patches; 1.008PRC23and 28 Patch. I've gotten the patch for DirX 81b loaded. But every time the screen goes to the Safty Screen withe the 3000AD logo my screen blanks for 3 seconds and I'm booted right back to windows. I run windows XP and when I've down loaded those patches I've gone back into the setup and run the repair programe to insure its loaded. Now I have a feeling I'm going to be told, to make it run its like turning on a light switch. Well think of me as the person in the darkin room who doesn't know what wall it is on and direct me to the proper wall so I may enjoy the Game I've read so much about. Any help will be greatly and thankfully read.

Edit by Jaguar: Please make sure your subject line is spelled correctly, nothing gets the SC more upset then mispellings in the subject line, it really messes up the search engine. Also, add your system specs ASAP. Post haste!!!

Did u put the patches into the BC directory and then install them because I had that problem and installing from the BC directory fixed it.

I think you have to have the 1.0.07 patch before the 1.0.08 RC23 and 28.

I haven't patched higher than 1.0.07 so I'm not 100% sure.

I think u can just dl RC23 by itself then install the newest one, but I could be wrong

Yes I"ve Put it into the BC Dir. I Read a reply from SC that I wouldn't need th 07 Patch All patches I've installed on the BC Dir

Have you updated your video card drivers?

You need to 1) fix your sig, and put up your system specs link in your sig, according to that page, and 2) fix that spelling. Derek runs a tight ship around here, and if that spelling in your topic isn't fixed by the time Derek reads it, or your system specs link isn't in your sig (because you're posting in the support forum), then this thread's most likely going to be deleted.

Fair warning. Be happy I caught you before the airlock did.

(And yeah, that system specs registration would really help in figuring out some sort of problems with your comp.)

Sorry Another Sorry Question. I've read the links to reflect my System profile. I don't see the UAL every one talks about. I've read every where about the SC's Hate of Miss spelling. I recently Have had shoulder surgery. So Yea I'm Typing one handed and being new to Fixing the problem of my computer myself I'm easy pick'ins for any one. But I Will be the first to admit that my knowlage of computers is " YES I KNOW WHERE THE ON SWITCH IS! Should tell you how Vast my knowlage and how dangerous I am to my self. But I want to learn. Yea When I was in the Corp, I was known as a CAT-4. But I forced my self not to let that hold me back. 22 years retired as a Master Sergant should tell you some thing about me. I made it a point to take care of my people. Here at BC3000 I'm the low man AGAIN. But I Still need to learn. I'll make mistakes,, yea I will. But never the Same One twice. So those who help Thank You. Those who want to take a stick and poke me in the eye???

Yes, definitely the FAQ, you will see it above, also do a search, click on search and put in, game will not load, it will give you all kinds of interesting results.

Main thing though, Charles is right, Check out the FAQ!!!
