I seem to be having a crash problem where when ever I get to 11:40 on my ingame clock I crash to the desktop. I've reproduced this error over 20 times already and its always the same =(

I've had this happen on ALL my profiles even my marine one and my Elite Pilot one.

Well, IIRC, weren't you the one experimenting with the debug time acceleration feature?

Anyway, there's nothing that would cause the game to crash at a certain time. Its probably an event that is occuring at that time.

Pack up the saved game that has this problem and send to [email protected]. If you don't know how to do this, read the forum archives.

Be warned! All I have to do is take one look at the binary saved game and I'll know if you used Playmod or time acceleration cheat in it. If you've done either of this, don't bother sending me the file. If you do - and you end up wasting my time - I'm going to have your profile for lunch.

Make sure you are running RC30 as well and that you send the exact game that exhibits this problem, along with a description of what to look for.

No it wasn't Kalshion, I was the one (and the only one, I guess) who eventually found and tested the debug time acceleration. I ran it for about half an hour and then left it. Crashes??? Even if I had any, I wouldn't think of posting anything related, since I knew what I was doing, and a possible one was an acceptable loss. Without complains...

Possibly, SC mistook you to be me.

All I did was to try if Debug Mode 1 (/d1) was functional, not only in the previous title, but in BCM also. It worked and among other features (unlocked for testing purposes, surely), I fell onto time acceleration. My opinion about it? You can read it, if you like, in the following page:

Time Acceleration in Debug Mode

SC is right, in Debug Mode is quite easy for the game to crash under certain conditions. But this forum supports only normal gaming issues. Any others are left to us to resolve. This is the way things work and it's the right one, I think.

SC? I know you hate to be reminded of stuff so this is not a reminder

But do you think if I uninstall BCM, delete the registery file for BCM, restart, reinstall BCM and patch it then put the save games back in.. you think that might work?

I have no idea. All I know from looking at your saved game is that it is corrupted. The crash is not caused by the time.

It caused by the waypoint pattern you have set for SC3. When it reaches the wp, it crashes due to this waypoint not containing the region (planet) info. I am investigating what would be causing this.

Where were you went you set these waypoints for SC3? Because this condition is already in the saved game, I have no clue how you go to this state. So, I'd like to know how you created these waypoints.

I also notice that you have several probes deployed. Did you set these waypoints in a region that the probe was monitoring i.e. your CC was not in that region so you were using the probe to feed the data to Tacops?

Thats easy, I went to waypoint, selected SC 3 and hit Target and placed it on Mining drone 3

Like I had sead, I have them out for a reason, to relay infomation to me When im gone

I've answer'd your questions to the best knowledge I have.

Look, do me a favor and delete BOTH of your replies. Then create a SINGLE reply that actually ANSWERS the specific questions I'm asking. I'm not interested in ANYTHING ELSE.

Thats not what I asked.

  1. Where was the CC when you were setting this waypoint for SC3? In space or on the planet?
  2. Was Tacops monitoring the region where SC3 is located via a probe (in TACLINK mode) or was the CC in the space region where the planet is?

oh oh.... whoops sorry misunderstoud you.

My command craft was in space in sector 'Arima' only my AE was on the moon.

no I was not in taclink I was in TACOPS, setting up the waypoints while I was on the moon(AE) WHILE I was on the surface(AE) loading up my mining drone. And no my CC was not in Earth Sector, it was in Arima sector

Please edit your post and REMOVE any information that I didn't explicitly ask for. I don't care if you were dancing a jig - please, just answer the questions I asked.

I am trying to figure out IF you were in fact using Taclink to access the region that contains the planet on which the SC3 has its waypoints. And no matter how I try to simplify the questions, you end up throwing more information into the mix that is either confusing or totally irrelevant to what I am asking.

Now, from your post, you're telling me that you were on the planet. Now I have to ask, WHO is on the planet? Your AE or the CC?

And please get the name of the region correct. You have a printed galaxy map, how bad can it be to spell Arima?

What moon was your AE on? Arima has two moons in the same region as the planet.

Please explain loading up my mining drone

I wasn't in Arima thats what im trying to tell you. My Command Craft was in Arima,

But my AE was in Earth Sector in SOL Space, on the moon that orbits earth,

I was extracting one drone to unload its cargo, then deploying it, then extracting the other drone and unloading its cargo and then doing the same, deploying it.

Im sorry I must've not made it clear

Now please describe how you were doing this

When I landed I went under the mining drone icon, and then extracted drone 2, unloaded its cargo then deployed it again, once its deployed I extracted another drone, unloaded its cargo. Then deployed it, and did the same to drone 4.

After I had done that I went into tacops and went under waypoint and told SC 2 and 3 to pick up mining drones 3 and 4, upon doing so I took off and then went back to Tacops and order'd SC 3 and 4 to take off and to resume waypoints.
