Greetings from Austria!

I recently purchased BCMG, but the game doesn't work. I tried the patches 1.01.00 and 1.01.01 RC6 as well as the unpatched, fresh installation of the game.

When i start BCMG, i get one Video, but then the game crashes back to the desktop. No other games or applications are making any problems right now, so this is unique to BCMG (or, at least, it seems to be).

Hardware Configuration:

Pentium4 1.6A @ 2.24GHz (tried default clock rate - won't work either).

Abit TH7-II RAID, i850 Tehama Chipset

2x128 = 256MB Kingston PC1066 RAMBUS

GeForceFX 5900 Ultra (Asus V9950U)

Terratec DMX Xfire1024

Hauppauge WinTV Theater

Promise SuperTrak SX6000

Quantum3D Obsidian2 X-24

DLink DE-528CT (10Mbit NIC)

Software Configuration:

MS Windows 2000

Service Pack 4

All Pre-SP5 Updates

Detonator 44.03

Original Terratec WDM Drivers for the Xfire1024

I would appreciate your help. If you need any additional information about the system, please ask... Thanks. I'm just in the need of a bit more "extraordinary" gameplay.

Start by reading the troubleshooting FAQ and following EVERY step mentioned in the section about the game not starting. And you should run it from a pure install before even attempting to patch it.

Thanks, but i already tried to run it from a fresh install in the first place.

I read the FAQ now, but i can't solve the problem, cause i tried everything mentioned in the FAQ.

It still crashes back to the desktop after the first Video...

I tried the Edit function, but i was too late, and therefore not allowed to edit, so I'm sorry for double-posting...

I just wanted to say, that I updated my System with the most actual Media Codecs, now I have all Media 7, 8 and 9 codecs plus Intel's Indeo Codec 5.11. Since the Dreamcatcher Logo was encoded in DivX i also have all DivX Codecs 3.x, 4.x and 5.0.2 installed here. Unfortunately it did not help at all.

I was trying to look at your system profile but you don't have it in your sig. Instead you have a link to a website. Please replace it with your registration profile so that I can take a look at your rig and go from there.

Also, start by uninstalling the game and deleting the folder. Then re-install. But instead of running the game, edit the shortcut and add /w1 to it. This way it will start in windowed mode and if there is an error, you will see it. Unless you can get the CD install to run, do NOT apply ANY patches.

If the /w1 does not work. Add /n as well to bypass the intro.
