BCM has not yet completely loaded without CTDs and its very frustrating.

Nvida GF2 MX/400 64megs (21.83)

DX8.1

Updated soundblaster live (#^%#&)?

639mgs of pc133RAM

4gigs of free harddrive space

56x CDROM

56k Modem (I know it means nothing)

PIII 700

win98 SE (latest updates from Mircosoft)

How is it that you have 639mb or ram?

Describe the problem, does it quit during install, during game start, any errors? When exactly does the crash occur (how far into the install, or if it's installed then is it before or after the logo)

What happens (after the install) is it allows me to enter the general menu and I can choose from there...I can even change resolutions so on and so forth but as soon as I make a selection for a game the environment window goes black with the loading information at the bottom of the screen. It scrolls quickly through everything until it say its finished loading and to wait then as soon as the 3D environment loads I go right to my desktop sometimes without an error other with.

I have (2) 250 megs + (1)128 and the final tally for the PC comes at as 639 - I could say 628, but that's not what on my system.

I have found DX8 to be a bugger with heavy sims such as BCM but, I found DX8.1 to be pretty supportive. I do realise that it may be a feature with Nvidia that needs to be turned off or maybe a previous driver or even just the way I load the startup of BMC... Everytime I get a fault error (not a CTD) I reinstall, repair whichever seem to be the best. (Happy Thanksgiving BTW)

I'm looking for a simple solution, I know I'm looking in the wrong areas. Thanks for the help.

The only advice I have is download and apply the patch and set your desktop depth and resolution the same with the game, reset your video cards options to default and start troubleshooting, also make sure you have no virus or other programs running in the background and no weird options turned on in your computer configuration.

What could be the solution...I'm still seeing ctd's and I have removed ALL drivers from Nvidia and SoundBlaster Live...maybe if you could tell me how to window-BMC. I read that in an earlier post but couldn't figure out the editing process to get there.

Forget about this CTD, all I did was max my window from after creating a shortcut on my desktop, everything looks fine and its a beautiful environment. Right now I taking a science vessel and having an incredible journey through the star systems...just trying to make it to earth...LOL
