Badgerius Posted November 23, 2001 Report Posted November 23, 2001 On the requirement section on the box, I noticed that it says that 3dfx Voodoo 3, 4, and 5 are supported. Was this intentional? It also says that only cards with DirectX 8 are supported. I really have no issue, since I no longer have my voodoo 3 card in my machine, but I thought I'd draw your attention to it, since it may have been unintentional.
Supreme Cmdr Posted November 23, 2001 Report Posted November 23, 2001 I suppose you missed the asterisk next to the supported text?
Badgerius Posted November 23, 2001 Author Report Posted November 23, 2001 No I didn't. I read it very carefully. It is clear about the driver issues. I just wasn't sure that you meant to put those cards there. If you did, then no problem. Close the thread.
Supreme Cmdr Posted November 23, 2001 Report Posted November 23, 2001 The box is correct. It correctly states that the game was tested on those boards. Which it was.It correctly states that driver incompatibilities may exist and beyond our control. Which do exit and are beyond our control. What'd I miss?
Badgerius Posted November 23, 2001 Author Report Posted November 23, 2001 Nothing. It's correct. But since the cards do have issues which aren't going to be fixed, I was surprised to see them on the box under supported cards. If this is not a misprint, I have no issue with it. I know that the box art was changed at the last minute because of MP not being in the game "out-of-the-box." I thought that is was possible that an error had crept in during the post-gold madness, and thought I'd draw your attention to it, just in case. But since it is not an error, and since you do spell out the driver issues on the box, then there is no problem. Sorry to bother you about it.

Sorry to bother you about it.No problem. I wasn't bothered because I understand that were just looking out for me. Either that or you were thinking of badgering me to fix driver problems on cards I have no control over, just because the box says that the game was tested on them. You don't own a Voodoo card, do you? [ 11-23-2001: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
Badgerius Posted November 23, 2001 Author Report Posted November 23, 2001 Well I do own one, but I bought an NVidia specifically for BCM, and installed the Voodoo on my wife's machine. But no, I had no intention of badgering you to fix voodoo's drivers. I'd like to see MP as soon as possible
