Journey through Gammulan Territory

This is what I have just experience within the past 5 hours of playing UC (yes I'm addicted )

I just started up the Campaign again.. and started going through Gammulan territory. I jump into LV-184, at least I think it was LV-184.. anywho

I'm just minding my own bussiness... me and my 5 escorts are underway to Otura-9, suddenly 4 Gammy cruisers jump in and decide to jump to the Otura warpgate.

No problem, 6 against 4 shouldn't be to difficult. Boy how wrong was I.. The momment we all get out of warp 3 of my 6 escorts peel off and set course for the Otura-9 warpgate while being hammered.

So, no problem. Just 3 cowards who will be courtmarshaled when we get back to Galcom HQ, I send out my 4 fighters plus the 8 fighters from the firestorm. We clean house and take out 3 of the 4 cruisers, the 4th one jumps away heavily damaged

He jumps over to one of the warpgates... then sits there... motionless.. waiting... and here I am, in my Megaron, with 20 combat ready marines .. and suddenly "We have intruders on board", "Marines assigned to search duty"

No problem... 20 combat ready marines against.. waht? Perhaps 6 or 8 enemie marines.. again I was wrong, since when did the enemy transport 15 marines onboard a ship? Let alone a carrier!!!

At first I thought everything would be fine, but when I take a closer look I see this

10 of the 15 marines are... ON THE BRIDGE!!!!!

the other 5 beamed into the troop deployment bay (big big BIG mistake.. as I had 10 marines in there waiting for orders.. all 5 got taken into custidy)

Meanwhile, on the bridge its fight to life thing.. All my officers, including myself, against 10 enemie marines

I was beginning to think it was the end for Commander Kalshion Dragon. Then.... THE CAVALRY ARRIVES! All 20 marines come pouring onto the bridge

"Hey! Its getting a bit crowded in here!", is the thought that went through my mind

10 enemie marines

20 Allied marines

and 6 command officers all in one small little bridge. I realized the bridge was only made for command personal.. perhaps it should become the new briefing room, seeing how the battle lasted for a good 8 marines

After that 8 marines 8 or the 10 marines where dead, the other two took off running down Deck 1 Aft Corridor to the shuttle bay, unfortantly for them I had my other 10 marines ALREADY on the way to the shuttle bay... Guess who they ran into while on the way?... you guess it.. now the 2 other marines are in custidy

I thought that it was the end of it.. time to sit in LV-106, refueling my fighters and marshaling my fleet (of only 2 escort ships now.. the other 3 had to RTB, one had 498 hull left, the other 40 hull and the last one, my Astrom, was down to 10 Hull but strangly INT of 100)

Suddenly I hear it again!, "We have intruders on board!"

Arghs! Didn't I just get done with this routine!?

Anywho, out of all the places they beam into... they beam into the shuttle bay where the 10 marines are right now, luckily this time its only 5 enemie marines

Meanwhile, outside my ship I get targeted by a Gammy Starcarrier, Stormcarrier, Sentry, Firestrom, Astrom, BCMK 1 2 AND 3, and another ship which was marked as UNKNOWN

I had a minutes worth of cloaking fuel left. So guess what I did? hehe yep, I cloaked my ship. Targeted the closest enemy, and ripped him to shreads

In total, I wasted 5 ships in under a minute, and the other ships in under 2 minutes.. all while suffering no INTERNAL damage no exp gain though

=( *sigh* oh well

meanwhile, back in my ship, the 5 enemie marines where holding there own against a now 15 marine defense force, I swear Resnig must be giving these marines orders cause I never seen my marines proform so POORLY!

After some orders being given, and sending Resnig to the brig. My marines took all 5 enemie marines into custidy, geez my detention center is getting mighty full now. Wonder what the SC will think when I arrive at Galcom HQ with 10 prisoners on board?

Other than that.. the fighting FINALLY stopped, and my guys where able to rest.. all 4 of my SC's are out on cargo sweeps collecting the remaining pods that are litering space, creating a traffic trap (as I had seen several seconds after the battle ended... several Transports came out of warp to pick up the pods but instead exploded into a mill peices, leaving pod's behind )

Anywho, thats my experience for today, hope I have another tomorrow =D

LOL , that is a great story! I just hate intruders.... I had a run-in with gammulans at wrath station a while back. The experience is unreal! As for myself, im still pushing off into gammulan territory useing jump gates. Yup, im still on that same game. Im about halfway there (Too much work in the real life *sigh*). Nothing much has happened so I haven't posted it yet. When something big happens......well we will all see it on "Galcom News" channel (or whatever that news channel is called)!

Anyway, good luck with all those prisoners! As for a hull breach in the bridge after combat: When all else fails, use resnig to plug that hole right up.

Here's another installment of this Journy

Just got into LV-103 and got the transports.. geez FOUR!? my god I was expecting one transport and perhaps some cruises (as decoys) but not unarmed transports ... well ok 2 unarmed and 2 armed

Anywho, I proceed for Fluxfield-12 to go to Yliss, and... discover that it- DROPS ME INTO A BLACK HOLE!!!!

damn, thanks a lot

I reload the game an enroute toward Fluxfield-10, which is in Otura-6 (or was it 9? *checks* yep 6)

I jump into Mantisi and get ambushed by a battlecruiser and a.... Zenstar? WTH is a Zenstar doing ATTACKING me?

I lay waste to the Zenstar, which was marked as GAM/MIL. Poor Gammys didn't know what hit them (hey they brased my shields so I opened up my missle tubes, yea I know a waste of expensive missles)

Well, when that transport died the BC MK1 came out of warp and start pounding the GCV - Rabid one (I have two Rabid Ones for some reason.. Glitch?), well My Rabid One escort only had 1200 hull left and 498 shields when he/she god attacked.

I launched all my fighters which quickly turned the GAM/MIL Battlecruiser into a smoking, burning floating hulk. Awww the smell of burnt gammys in the morning

Myself, the escorts and the transports proceed to Crystar where... upon getting into the system. 2 Firestorms decloak off my starboard side and start firing on me, luckily the transports hadn't jumped in it so I turn on my PTA system and lay waste to Firestorm #1

Meanwhile, Firestorm #2 takes off toward the Kruger Warpgate and sits there

Now, galcom directive says not to attack a ship unless fired upon... one little detail.. its at a gate I need to go to

My ship took heavy damage thanks to a couple lucky shots from the #1 Firestorm, so while repairs where going i sent all 4 fighters out

The first fighter to arrive, FC 3 started taking a pounding the momment it arrived. As it headed toward the enemy its sheilds went down to

200 ----- 150 ----- 100 ----- 75 ----- 25 -----

Then the firestorm blows up (FC 3 REALLY ddin't like being fired on, so they launched several missles and opened up with there main guns)

I look at the hull of FC 3 after the battle

135 hull left, Interal systems are down to 45% AND BOTH PILOTS ARE STILL ALIVE!

One had a health of 83%, the other 89%, and the fighter still had warp capibility so it jumped to me

I hadn't realized the full extint of the damage until it docked. Both pilots went off station and I ordered them BOTH to the medbay (strangly, upon docking the medical officer said "Assigning medic's to attend to wounded personnel")

I looked at the system's of FC 3 and... esh, How the hell could anyone survive this?

FC 3's damage

Esh, I still would like to know how anyone can survive being blasted like that

Anywho, after they got back on board I waited for the transports... and guess what happened while I was waiting?

Being boarded is no fun, expiacally when you're trying to give you're men some rest

Suffice to say, I saved at that point and quit. Going to continue that game in the next couple of hours

Wish me luck! I'll post another installment after I go off duty later on tonight
