I'm curious, does flying around with no sheilds have an effect on the crew? I've noticed that my crew seems to start suffering from high fatigue pretty quickly. I'm not sure if it's because I've had to repair the auxilary life support system or if it's because I've turned off the shields to save on Plutonium. I know that it's most likely the auxilary life support system, but I was wondering if the sheilding had any effect (such as exterior space radiation and such)

Im pretty sure its your life support system. If your life support system gets destoryed then it would be a good idea to move crew from the affected areas (main life support supports one portion of the ship and aux supports another). If both life support systems get really trashed then you can always move crew into shuttles which have their own life support systems.

That's what I figured.. At first I thought that the Aux. life support was just a backup and wasn't too important. So I left it alone for a while, but then I noticed that everyone was getting stressed out, so I fixed it right away. I guess the sheild level has nothing to do with it.

I've always wondered if buying "creature comforts" such as video equip, audio, furniture etc reduces fatigue faster.

Probly not, but with this game.. anything's posible.

Aux life support is really bridge life support.

Wrong. Look in any manual under emergency operations. The section numbers change but the title is the same.
