CAB, CAV, HAV and LAV

I've RTFM, RTFA and STFF but I can't find out what CAB, CAV, HAV and LAV stand for.

My best guess is:

HAV = heavy armoured (or attack) vehicle

LAV = light armoured (or attack) vehicle

And I've no idea about the other two.

Any ideas?

A CAV is like a Humvee, CAB a 3 wheeler, the Hav and Lav are wheeled tanks with different cargo capacity, they also differ in many other ways.

Just look a the appendix for more specific details.

Thats not what he was asking

CAV = Combat Assault Vehicle

CAB = Combat Assault Buggy

HAV = Heavy Assault Vehicle

LAV = Light Assault Vehicle

What I can't figure out is what the heck I'm meant to be using these things for.

But I blame the fact that I'm always playing in a 'Roam' scenario rather than a Campaign. This is because I'm a weenie, I suspect

LAG = Light Assault Gunship

PAS = Personnel Assault Skimmer

Note that NONE of these ground units are in BCG as they have all been replaced with better and differently named units.

The glossary is up to 238 entries now. Nearly ready for public scrutiny and abuse.

I'm not being as ambitious as Unknown_Enemy, it's really an list of abbreviations. I might enhance it later, but don't count on it.
