Alacard Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 Well, after months of procrastination, IÔÇÖve finally become a some-what decent commander, but I do have one question. After scouring the manual, Google, the appendix, and the 3000ad forums, I can find no instructions regarding the management of my marines after planet fall, specifically regarding base attacks and such. I can deploy them from shuttles, beam them down, etc. but cannot get them to do anything besides stare at me. Any tips/suggestions would be appreciated.
JCMan Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 I think you can tell them what to do in the tac-ops computer(just like fleet CC),although I think you need fleet CC to do that. I could be wrong cuz I always sweep the ground with fighters. You can take everything out with one if ur good.
Vixef Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 To give orders to marines: 1. Go to tacops 2. Zoom to planet 3. Observe planet 4. Zoom to your marines 5. To give orders to one marine, click on him, and a menu with orders should show up. Click on SEAD or SAD. If you don't want to zoom close up on the marine, use the shift-key. Also, you can only order one marine at a time. Hope that helps a bit.

Just to test it, I send my Marines against a weaker-base near Wraith... they didn't last too long but fought like true marines
