Problems Extracting OCs

I'm currently having problems extracting OCs from a planet. I've order my shuttle to extract them and they will land nearby. However, I do not know what order I must give my OC for it to dock with the shuttle. I've chose EVAC with the target being the shuttle to no avail. Finally I decided to get off my butt and take a shuttle down myself and I got into the OC and docked with with the shuttle then ordered both shuttle to return to base. Can anyone tell me how I am supposed to get the AI to dock the OC for me? Also, is marine extraction an automatic procedure? I have found that I am unable to order marines around (or least I don't know how).

If the order you gave the shuttle corresponds to the OC you deployed, it will extract it if within range.

Are you asking about marine extraction or ordering them about? Both are in the Tacops section of the manual.

I'm going to try to order the OC to halt this time then before I send a shuttle to extract it. As for picking up the marines, I found it in the manual and will be giving it another shot. Still getting used to how the menus are arranged, etc. but I think I'm getting the hang of it. Thanks for the help.
