rocksk Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 I had playing this game for a month, yet i did not know how to jump in flux. Can someone tell me the steps. Do we use command jump to at Flux-08 or (Expect this command but cannot did not get the option.) or fly to Flux-08 (Did not jump when ship reach flux)
Papi Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 Keep trying. You must go through flux field manually. Sometimes you enter in the same region even though you go through flux field.
Supreme Cmdr Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 Just like it says in the manual, NPC ships (which your craft will become if you give it an order via the autopilot), do not use fluxfields. You have to do the jump manually. quote:Originally posted by Sierra Hotel: Is it common for your ship to remain in the same region? If you actually read the "Jump Anomalies" PDF file linked to in the DOCS section of the programs group where the game is installed, you'd know the answer. rocksk Posted May 21, 2004 Author Report Posted May 21, 2004 I just found out i need to press "/" to active the jump when need the flux. I guess i had been using Autopilot from the start to jump between system. I never learn how to active the flux or stargate Until last night. "And have you tried reading and running the work in progress tutorial I posted the other day?" Yes read them, did not remember anything about the "/" key to active system jump. Is it on the key list? I remember seeing "/" to enter ship or vehicle. Nonthing on flux or jump gate.
Supreme Cmdr Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 You don't need to activate a jump gate - or any jump anomaly. It just has to be the current target. Don't you have a copy of the manual?
rocksk Posted May 21, 2004 Author Report Posted May 21, 2004 Ohh..... so "/" go no use? 6.1 state that, but i failed to understand. Now i know.
Supreme Cmdr Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Yeah, / is just a regular targeting key and has nothing to do with the jump anomaly.
Ditto00 Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 I have a question, does anyone else notice flux field 19 located inside of the planet Gammula 1? Using UC 2.00.11
Supreme Cmdr Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 Yep. I was planning on moving it in UC, but never got around to it. Besides, its fine just where it is and doesn't cause any problems, does it?
Ditto00 Posted June 19, 2004 Report Posted June 19, 2004 Well, yes, but there are other gates nearby, its just an inconvienence, especially if you are coming through it... If you hyperspace to the gate, or come through it, it will force you to land on the planet, which most of the time results in a crash simmilar to jumping out of an airplace going mach 3, turns you into a pastry. That gives me an idea, maybe I should tell Resnig to use a shuttle... Would be a nice adjustment, but it IS up to you. Like I said, it is an inconvience, but there are other gates nearby. And yay! I finally posted somthing that I didn't get yelled at for, at least not yet
Ditto00 Posted June 19, 2004 Report Posted June 19, 2004 Oh, well thank you! I suppose it comes in the next patch? *bows to SC for such a great game and his support*
