map Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 so, i've got a profitable trade route going and i've upgraded my cc systems so that i feel comfortable leaving my parking spot on mars:D . i'm going to shop once more at galcom and take off. hey, there's a disabled fighter . send sc1 out to tow then deliver. okay, sc1 is towing but going no where fast. what's up? crews alive. go to logistix, crafts. hey! did you guys know you have to fix your support craft?[thanks for telling me ]. well, now what do i do? how about i halt my cc put on autopilot and then exit cc and fly my ae over to sc1. works like a charm . deliver to galcom; fly sc1 back to cc. i'm sorry but this is just too cool! thanks.
reanor Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 Is it sarcastic topic or you really liked it? Btw can you share with me (PM me please) with that profitable route? thanks.
map Posted June 20, 2004 Author Report Posted June 20, 2004 i'm dead serious. i've been been picking up cargo pods and towing disabled craft the whole time i had been trading. all of a sudden sc1 can't find it's way to galcom. thru logistix i see it's main computer is out. i had been upgrading and fixing my cc but never really looked at the support craft. what a complex, thought out game world. everything is undergoing normal operational degradation. you are going to stay very busy playing this game.
Ockham Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 One of my first times playing UC, it was a instant action naval mission, I flew my gunship straight into the ocean at top speed. I expected to see a "GAME OVER" message flash across the screen... or maybe a "YOU'RE DEAD" message... but nothing happened. I looked up how to exit vehicals, pressed Alt+E and watched my AE swim around in the ocean, I couldn't stop laughing Very cool indeed. I haven't seen a "GAME OVER" message flash across the screen yet and I don't think I ever will. Like Meras said, "that's the beauty of it "

Ockham Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 Ya, I was trying to emphasise the fun of never really being able to "beat the game" on roam campaign. Should have typed "Game Complete Message" instead of "Game Over Message". I'm no stranger to KIA notices, especially on those FPS instant action scenarios.
