First battlecruiser game: Yes Read manual front to back: Yes Read appendix: Yes Read FAQ: Yes Read Lots on the forms: Yes Like the game in a self masochistic sort of way the really turns me on in some dark corner of my soul that I dont like to admit exists: .Yes Ok on to the matter SC I know you have said (printed in big red letters in the faq in fact) that running the game in a window is not supported so I can under stand if you give me a little heat. (if U were reading that is) Those of you who do run in window Im wondering if you have run into the issue that if you go through a flux field you automatically get Kill in action. Further if you try to Resume Last you cant and when you restore the game manually you get Killed in action right of the bat Tested in Flux field F03 Pluto region and Flux field F04 in Mercury Jump point are fine Also this doesnt happen when the game is not running in window I was running with the /w1 cmd If any one knows how to fix this that would be great.I like to use the Appendix and forms while playing hence the running in window.

Derek placed enemy stations very near certain flux fields to "encourage" you to use different tactics.
Randy Wade Posted August 27, 2004 Author Report Posted August 27, 2004 No it was not in multiplay and when it happened if you restored a game that was saved well before the flux field (two jumps away in earth system) you got KIA as soon as it loaded. Oh well one lifes little misterys. ----edit---- I have now managed to get through F03 from Pluto all the way to Alpha Centauri - Tramis But on the way back from Atri station entering F05 the same thing happen- you enter flux as you come out other side you see it just for sec and boom you die then you can't restore your most recent save or you die when it loads thanks for your help Cmdr C [ 08-27-2004, 01:18 AM: Message edited by: Randy Wade ]
Supreme Cmdr Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 This is not a tech support issue. And the game is not supported in Window mode. And you should know by now that if you die in a profile, the game won't resume. Why? Well, er, you're dead? *moved*
Marvin Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 I don't have all the specs in hard copy for UC but, if flux-3 is like it is in BCMG, then it has an exit to a black hole (blk01z). Toss a coin and, if that's your destination, you die. Horribly. Flux-5 has the same "problem." One of the exits is to another black hole (blk03z). So, same result.
