I apologize if this is something of a stupid question, but I haven't been able to find anything on it. What ways are there to prevent XP loss? Often, I'll be in a sector when enemy fighters try to attack a base, and are quickly taken out. I end up losing experience (I'm guessing because I didn't attack the fighters?), but I didn't have time to get over there to attack them. Am I right in assuming this is why I'm losing experience? And, is there any way to avoid it?

Depending on your race/caste, you'll lose exp if an allied or neutral ship is destroyed in your region.

If you were Terran/Military fighting on one side of the region, and a couple Raider fighters pop in and kill a Diplomat, you lose exp.

Sometimes exp loss is unavoidable, but it's also easy as hell to get if you are playing as Ter/Mil.

Trying playing as a Raider and see how easy it is to get any exp at all.

That wasn't directed at me, was it? I've made two threads on this board in the past three days...
