cyress8 Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 Hey guys, don't know if its my mouse or what but i can't seem to aim as precisly as i can in BCMG. When every I aim it seems like the reticule is following a track or something it never will aim in the spot i want it too. If you had this problem and fixed let me know please, I have a craving for sniping crap right now
Cartmanbeeps Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 Yea. Just like real life. When in real life the gun always sways a bit up and down. back and forth. its like that in BCMG and UC
gdwnet Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 Is this when you are on a planet? Simple - Crouch down and fire. Watch the marines in action and see how they do it.
cyress8 Posted September 18, 2004 Author Report Posted September 18, 2004 the sway isnt the problem im actually prone when i try to aim. When i am it just isnt precise like when im in a fighter. When I try to aim if i move it in any direction it moves like a half a click away from the original spot instead of smoothly moving to where I need it
cyress8 Posted September 18, 2004 Author Report Posted September 18, 2004 | | - - - - | | 1 2 If i am aiming at 1 then try to move a little right it actually moves to point 2. I can't seem to be able to meet inbetween 1 and 2. It happens in space and land and also in any aiming position (crouch, prone, and stand), plus it actually gets worse when i try to aim up and down the distance almost doubles between 2 points.
cyress8 Posted September 18, 2004 Author Report Posted September 18, 2004 hmm didn't draw my croshairs, sorry about that put my crosshairs there but th vertical lines should still help show the problem. I cant seem to aim inbetween them
Supreme Cmdr Posted September 19, 2004 Report Posted September 19, 2004 There is already a topic about it. The game does not cheat like other fps games which give you a specially rendered weapon view instead of the one that is actually in your character's hands. So, since all poses have some idle animation, you have to either crouch (better targeting) or go prone (best targeting) in order to snipe. No, there is nothing wrong with it, thats how it was designed to be.
cyress8 Posted September 19, 2004 Author Report Posted September 19, 2004 Alright then, thanks for the clarification SC.
Supreme Cmdr Posted September 19, 2004 Report Posted September 19, 2004 np besides, you should be leading your target anyway when sniping; which is why you can use the slight drift (caused by the animation in order to simulate breathing) to your advantage.
