Well these are my first posts since 2001

I seem to have mised one of your posts that answered my questions. I'll just have to wail till the public release of RC8.

I have released to testers, Build 005 which addresses some issues.

Whats new...

  1. The VTT tags for personnel has been reduced to a min/max value of 1/500 m respectively. This was done for gameplay reasons because you could previously see someone's tag from up to 1km away.
  2. You can now manually activate your SOS emitter in fp mode using CTRL+ALT+T. This will allow your allies to come to your aid. Of course, the enemy can also see this emitter if they have you targeted or if they are viewing the region from Tacops. Note that your TTD/VTT tag will go Grey when you have your emitter activated.

    What is the VTT? Its Visual Target Tracking similar to the TTD. In fp mode, it is usually on. In crafts the TRS has to be in alert mode. See manual p24

  3. FIXED: Turret beam graphics are now always rendered on clients
  4. FIXED: Clients joining a server are now properly separated in order to prevent launch collisions when clients launch around the same time from the same station.
