Spiny Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 In space of course. Here's what you do: [*]Set IOD to 10% [*]Fly to your target. [*]Try to stay 0.5km from your target. 0.3 - 0.7 works. [*]Aim slightly above the TLD - one or two pixels.* [*]Let him have it! You may need to alter your aim slightly. [*]Admire the beam convergence. *This is probably ship dependant. I was using a BC MK3. Have fun.

Falstaff Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 I usually carry cheep STS missiles for the annoying bugs. Or get out of my CC and cap them myself. There is a sense of gratification to plug a space-marine yourself. But what confuses me is how I hear his death groan and grunts of pain through the void of space..... Oh well, It's just a game.
Spiny Posted August 6, 2003 Author Report Posted August 6, 2003 quote: Each ship does have its own PTA arcs Yes, but I was talking about the IOD. I'm guessing you'd have to aim low if the IOD was mounted on top. quote: Or get out of my CC and cap them myself. I tried that, but it wasn't very successful. They wouldn't keep still. I managed to wing one though.
GREG MILLER Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 Hey, thanks for the info, although, I just normally grab one of my own fighters and take care of it myself. As someone else has said, cheap STS missles are also good, and can even take out several at once if they are close enough together.
Spiny Posted August 7, 2003 Author Report Posted August 7, 2003 Suit yourself, but I take take a marine out in about a minute. They sound very surprised somehow...
