CommanderJohnson Posted June 1, 2002 Report Posted June 1, 2002 Based on a Clancy book. Loved the movie. 8/10. I followed it well, but you need to be somewhat intelligent and informed to follow it at points though. Go see it. Interesting after 9/11. If they only made one off of Executive Orders.
CommanderJohnson Posted June 3, 2002 Author Report Posted June 3, 2002 Tell me SOMEONE else has seen this movie. That movie was PACKED at the FIRST showing on Saturday. [ 06-03-2002, 14:45: Message edited by: Dredd ]
Gryphon Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 Sorry hombre, my wallet is still recovering from the $46 I spent on Star wars and spiderman
Guest Grayfox Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 seen the previews, and saw it resembled the book as much as clear and present danger did... i think ill wait for video.
Eclipse Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 I saw it, liked the story but I felt the movie's execution was poor.

I hope they make a movie based on Executive Orders. Anyway, I think Sum of All Fears might be closer to the book since Clancy was an executive producer (but of course, never read the book, so I wouldn't know). But trust me, that movie rocks!
Eclipse Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 Several of the shots were poorly done, of note was the almost totally washed out 3 second clip of AFO while looking into the sun, overly brief clips of the Russian bombers and F16's they seemed like stock footage and CG, expecially the LGB's hitting, that looked like vintage Gulf War stuff. It was things like that that got me, and the fact they really never played up the Nuke very well, it seemd rather weakly executed.
Supreme Cmdr Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 I saw it. It is an OK thriller which could've been better. But it still went to #1 on opening weekend. Go figure. 7/10
