Supreme Cmdr Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 I keep reading about this limited release (read: art film) offering and finally decided to go and see it yesterday. It was either that or Mr Deeds or Stuart Little2 (which I'm taking the toddler to see today). It turned quite well. A beautiful film. In fact, its been getting such great reviews, that its now playing in most large theatres. If you can find it, go see it. Its a date movie and if you don't have a date, get a bag of popcorn and a medium soda. 10/10
Urza Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 I'm surprised that our theatre, having 24 screens and all (not to mention the biggest theatre in the nation) isn't playing this one. Oh well, I'm not into dating movies, anyway. quote: get a bag of popcorn and a medium soda. NO! You have to get the large for 50 cents more! [ 07-29-2002, 12:01 AM: Message edited by: Urza ]
Kevin Trotter Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 SC I swear I was going to recommend this movie to you when you alluded in a post that there were no big releases you were interested in , but decided not to. I thought you would think it was too "art house". Myself I love movies and "films" but wasn't sure anyone else would like a small character based story with no explosions , catch phrases or car chases.

I regularly go and see art movies because thats the missus' bag. Take her to see explosions more often than she'd like and I'm in deep trouble.
Supreme Cmdr Posted July 30, 2002 Author Report Posted July 30, 2002 That movie with LaPaglia is called Lantana. Its pretty good. Grab it if you come across it. Also get Waking Life
