Yup, pretty much. Good effects and stunts. See it on the big screen for that.

I'd agree with SC or think it's a little bit better, just because you know what your going there for (action, action, and more action), and Vin Diesel is funny. If your looking for a sorta funny, lots of guns and explosions action movie, and a LOT of stunts, see it. You'll be looking back and thinking "wow, that was cool"

SORTA SPOILER/QUESTION:

At the end when he's riding Ahab, did anyone notice a black on/off switch on the top right corner of the panel that had the hard drive? It was only there for a second or two total movie time, but if so, I found it funny he was screwing around with the hard disk and missles when he could have just flipped the "off" button.

Probably had nothing to do with the HDD

One thing I did like and which I thought was done well, is that they kept true to the notion that he was, well, clueless when it came to secret agent stuff. e.g. he didn't know how to arm the heat seeking missile launcher; and asked the officer to arm it; he was a terrible shot when handling weapons etc. If there is a sequel, I expect him to have gotten better etc

Nice action sequences, but I'm still looking forward to James Bond 20. Nice comedy, too. Nothing to write home about, though it was certainly worth watching.
