Guest Posted November 5, 2000 Report Posted November 5, 2000 As the title says, does anyone watch this show? I saw one episode today and I can say it shows some promise for the future.------------------ Cmdr. Kron ICV Darkness, Spectre HQ (Antis) Spectre Fleet
Charles Lindsey Posted November 5, 2000 Report Posted November 5, 2000 The previews look good. Hope to catch it. I like "Roswell". Don't ask me why I just do. 2nd season. Good story. I am looking for Andromeda. ------------------ Vice Admiral Chavik ICV Phoenix, Sygan Starstation (Sygan) Fleet Leader - Balor FleetOfficial BC3K Tester
Akira Posted November 5, 2000 Report Posted November 5, 2000 Andromeda... or as I like to call it:Kevin Sorbo starring in HERCULES IN SPACEit's ok. the 3d work is kinda neet but nothing spectacular.the crew and storyline are formulaicnot all the actors are capable
Whisper Posted November 5, 2000 Report Posted November 5, 2000 I saw about 10 minutes of it, 'cause I was slow turning off the TV and going to bed. Gaa! I suppose I should give it another try now, some of you seem to think it okay. But what I saw (episode had something to do with Draj(?) attacking space station) was terrible. The actors sounded like they were reading from the script, the characters were massively stereotyped! The spfx were nice, though, good points there. But overall it felt as if it took all the good elements for a number of wildly succesful space operas and smushed it all together in an effect similar to that of coffee from the bottom of the pot. Sorry, pardon my rant . In all fairness, I only watched it for a little bit. My first impressions as stated above caused me to run away screaming. DarkHorizon says it looks promising, so perhaps I should return for a second look.Does anyone know why Gene Rodenberry's name is included with the title?
Blades Posted November 5, 2000 Report Posted November 5, 2000 Ah yes, Hercules in space. Been watchin it for the last three weeks on Sky One, and I must admit, despite looking a bit dodgy to begin with, it's starting to grow on me.Sadly, it's taken the ultra moralistic outlook on life that we all know and love from Hercules and applied it to this far future storyline, which in my opinion, is a wee bit tragic.Still, it's fun to watch for the most part, and I havent been cringing too much (With the exception of the 3rd episode - The Space Station one with the kiddies. )so far.Anyway, if you get a chance to watch it, I suggest you do. Been a few well placed in jokes there as well. Why not try and spot them? ------------------ Fleet Cmdr.
