ya well... i can agree with him on 98% of his list... but if i really wanted to be an ass, i could nitpick his list... like i say, if youre going to pick something apart, have the right information at least... for the two things even he got wrong... but what do you expect? a list this friggin long is bound to have some errors.

and as for the person(s) who said that the scouring of the shire was not important for the film, ill add this... and i tend to agree 100%

quote:

The Scouring of the Shire - The chapter is essential in the book. The Scouring of the Shire is where peaceful folk learn that war affects us all, it's where Tolkien makes his point that even common folk far from the troubles of the world must also remain vigilant against the Shadow, that no one is safe from the encroachment of evil regardless of the tranquility of a land such as the Shire, itÔÇÖs where Merry and Pippin really shine, itÔÇÖs where the four hobbits truly realize how much they have matured since leaving Hobbiton, and itÔÇÖs where closure of the Saruman storyline belongs.

i gotta give the guy credit... a flight from the US to japan would give you enough time to make this kind of list

dont get me wrong, i enjoyed the films immensely (except for a few blatant changes that pissed me off) and i think PJ deserves alot of credit for taking on a project this big.
