Robstein
Don't know if anyone saw this in the other thread, so I thought I'd try here. I got linked to this trailer from Penny Arcade yesterday and nearly cried when I realised this probably wouldn't make it to the states . Any thoughts? scorchedearth
I think it will make it.... If The Returner, So Close, Double Vision (link sometimes broken), Black Mask and Black Mask 2 (no links, but BM2 has fight choreography by Yuen Woo-ping) made it, Casshern should, even if it's only on DVD. I hope so, because I'm drooling...

Scrivener
Returner was interesting (if a little too Japanese for me to recommend to anyone but Otaku)... in any event, I'm glad to see that we're starting to get more movies that take place entirely in alien environments... ie, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. They always work in *some* kind of real-world twist because, until recently, these kinds of movies were cost prohibitive...
Robstein
Ah yes, Sky Captain. Wating on that one, too.
Supreme Cmdr
OMFG!!! And the titbits from AICN I have deleted the first thread since the topic said nothing about what it was about.
scorchedearth
I actually got a full-fledged official DVD of this movie (in widescreen) the other day, and the DVD is fantastic, but the movie is just "okay" - it has a definate style and it's definately Japanese, but wasn't what I thought it would be. Anyone else seen it yet?
