Supreme Cmdr Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 There is a reason this one crushed a box office record. It is freaking amazing and funny. I took my daughter and her cousin to see it and we had a great time. Now she wants to go see it again. But so do I 10/10
Bandus Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 I loved this movie as well. Hysterically funny. You'll want to see it more than once because the jokes fly fast. You'll be hard pressed to find a dull point in this movie. 10/10
Guest Grayfox Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 lol yep loved this one... the whole "Knights" bit had me rolling. 10/10
Guest Fox__Trot Posted May 27, 2004 Report Posted May 27, 2004 I just thought the starbucks bit was funny pffttt! I give this a 4/5 (because I work on half scales!) the only thing that kept this from being a 5/5 was the fact I didnt get a drink when going into the theater and was thirsty
Scrivener Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 Originally I wasn't planning on seeing this one at all - I really didn't like the first Shrek at all. I thought it was silly, over-the-top, and the jokes, while ever-stretching for a certain amount of pop wit, fell short. Based on the nonstop barrage of good reviews from people I thought I trusted, I saw Shrek 2. The good news: It's better than Shrek 1. The bad news: I still don't like it. Ok, so it's actually half decent movie. And it managed to get about ten times more giggles than the first movie (that makes about ten giggles) but the kind of pop-culture comedy that the movie relies on so heavily will be outdated in just a few years. Ultimately this will sink to the level of slapstick comedy for the very very young. Fart, burp, and general bodily function gags also earn negative points. Eddy Murphey's annoying voice - more negative points. Really great computer animation - some positive points. Some genuinely funny material - more bonus points. An audience that laughs at tons of things that I dont find remotely funny at all - chalk up a whole truckload of negative points. So, yeah - Shrek 2 is way better than the first one. But for the guy that thinks Kill Bill is the most incredible cinematic feat ever projected onto a big screen... sorry. 5/10

Charles Lindsey Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Did anyone stay through the credits and see the conclusion to the donkey/dragon romance? I left after that. Hope I didn't miss anything else.

My only grup (sp?) was that the scene with donkey making his pop noise I saw on a frozen treat commercial so I knew it was coming The first one I liked, but this one I LOVED! Great movie, simply the best. However, if it showed some scenes from the future Knightblade and BC Series games coming up I would have liked it more. *hint* *hint* By the way anyone know who sings "I need a hero"?
