The special effects are really pretty but unless you have already read or at least have a basic understanding of the source book(s)(and/or game) The plot won't make much sense. By the way, the night watch site has a pretty unique movie trailer. It's not actually a trailer, but the entire movie(w/o sound) sped up to such a rate that it plays in 2 minutes
