Guest $iLk Posted July 31, 2005 Report Posted July 31, 2005 The first 15 minutes leave you thinking you've just wasted $6.75 for a movie ticket. The rest of the movie keeps you laughing. Along the same vein as Deuce Bigallo, and other outrageously unlikely situational comedies. The actors act fairly well - but play the same types of role they've been typecast as... even reusing lines from other movies they've done. Not necessarily a bad thing... I enjoyed the movie - got plenty of laughs. A few (short) gratuitous bare-chest shots of some ladies in the first 10 min or so of the movie. Excessive use of the 'F' word. Slight gay-bashing. Plenty of reasons not to bring the kids. Big PLUS: Christopher Walken. I think he's funny as hell. 7/10 (I liked it, would recommend it if you don't mind the negatives above - but I wouldn't buy it on video)
Scrivener Posted July 31, 2005 Report Posted July 31, 2005 I wasn't planning on seeing this but all your negatives were my selling points!
Andergum Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 A must see for me. I just love silly funny movies like this. Deuce Bigalow is one of my favorites.
Kevin Trotter Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 I think Vince Vahgn is just a funny guy. I'm still quoting him from " Anchorman and Old School' Dude seems like he would be fun to hand out with.
Supreme Cmdr Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 Saw this yesterday and I can easily see why its made so much money at the box office. Its hilarious - if you have a sense of humor worth talking about. Loved the pacing and everything. There were no dull or drawn out moments that I could detect. 9/10
