Geez - this kind of wonton and gratuitous gore and nudity can't even be shown at the movies any more. I'm most definately not complaining... it's about time someone went all out to do things the right way. I'm a little bothered by the british accents and the fact that their latin pronunciation is complete crap (it's keekero not sisero, dammit) but I'll get over it (the accents at least).

The first episode definately left me wanting more, and it seems that Season 1 will be self-contained... meaning if Season 2 never happens, no hard feelings. This show did cost $100 million, after all.

Oh yeah, and Roman soldiers didn't actually wear red, contrary to popular belief. Nevertheless, there seems to be plenty of political intrigue and backstabbing to keep things interesting for a while.

Which is a good thing if you ask me. Excess gore and nudity should not be a form of entertainment or we'll all be back in the Roman age with gladiators, lions and whatnot.

There are lots - LOTS - of movies which are highly entertaining without excess gore, nudity and such.

This is the decay of the American society; and I for one, plan on moving to China as soon as I can find my passport.

Derek... if you move to China they'll force you to make games about the glorious Red Army in space conquering the Capitalists... and they'll make you rename Galcom to Galcommies...
