Supreme Cmdr Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 While waiting for the next showing of Transporter 2, I decided to see this one. It was pretty OK; though they left out a major plot hole related to why the butterfly caused those changes. Stupid Hollywood. If you like sci-fi and can wrap your head around a convoluted time travel shindig, this is worth watching. It is evenly paced and doesn't have any boring parts. My score is low because it played like a Saturday night movie on the sci-fi channel. e.g. given the scope of the catastrophe that the movie was to depict, there was no such conveyance in the movie. No screaming crowds of people asking wtf was going on etc. Nothing. Instead, it was isolated and restricted to a few key players and some background crowds. Pretty shoddy I thought; given the scope of the sets, special FX etc. 7/10
Scrivener Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 I believe this movie was made on a $1 million budget and was originally supposed to be a straight-to-TV movie. Those things considered, they did a pretty good job. SciFi should have snapped this up early on just to prove that they can make movies that don't completely suck.
Supreme Cmdr Posted September 6, 2005 Author Report Posted September 6, 2005 So, uhm, you've seen it then? If so, why no score?
