Just saw the adverts for this last night on the subway.

the first made alot of money too, and small budget.

look for saw 3, maybe it'll be called HAMMER or CHISEL.

Just watched Saw 2. It was great It managed to have a cooler ending twist then the first one. 4 out of 5 stars.

I wasn't terribly keen on the first so I might sit this one out. If there's one thing I can't abide it's neutered mainstream "horror."

I never saw (haha!) the first one. So whats the gore factor (1-10) for Saw II? I know its rated R, but Mary Poppins would be rated R today if they redid it.

On my 1-10 gore scale, the LoTR trilogy is a 4 (because they don't show it; rather leaving it up to your imagination).

Probably about a 6.5 or a 7. Saw wasn't really so much about the blood and guts as about the psychologic thrillings and keep you guessing on what is going to happen.

Did you see Sin City? I rated that a 10 on the gore scale. I rate Kill Bill Vol 1 a 9.

So, on that note, how does Saw II rank against those two?

mm. Definatly lower on the gore scale then KB and Sin City. Most graphic thing you see in SAw is some blood and some minor flesh cutting.

Low Gore... lower than Saving Private Ryan in my opinion. I enjoyed the movie, but I also enjoyed the style of the first one also. It's rare that I don't see an ending coming ahead of time.
