Night at the movies: The Goblet of Fire

Not bad, not bad at all.

They took a lot of stuff out of the movie that was in the book, but a lot of it remained.

The best Harry Potter movie to date!!

Wasn't as dark as the last one, I believe it is a new director, but moved right along and just kept on moving, the special effects are maturing as well.

This one may be a bit much for younger children, to say the least, 13 and above, although when the video comes out, I will probably allow my 9 year old to watch it with me, but NOT in the theater, she's not ready for that intensity without a few breaks, or a chance to run out of the room if she gets scared.

I just saw it today. I liked it very much, though not quite as much as the last one. I guess there was just too much going on with the tri-wizards tournament and all for them to fit eerything in, but overall they did a pretty good job. Much scarier for the youngsters I'll bet though.

BTW check out David Tennant (the new Doctor Who) as Barty Crouch Junior!!!

I watched it too. I thought it was at least an hour too long. I was bored to tears in some parts.

LOL Sorry for releasing the lord of darkness but it's time for summer break so I'll deal with it next year LOL.

Not a Harry Potter fan but the effects were nice. I agree that it was far too long. I was also drunk during the movie and took out my agression on the jerks behind me who had to narrate everything while dressed as wizards.

I liked the dragon chase. The rest wasn't bad. They did take out a good bit out of the book. Heavens that tall woman is homely.

Lessee, in at 5:10 out at 7:50. That's 2 hrs 40 mins including previews. I wasn't bored at all.

From what I saw, was on a date (with a girl WOW, I know ) so excuse me for not watching the whole thing. However, I do prefer the books though since I'm on Book 6 and they just did Book 4. The effects were great and I did enjoy Ron's reaction to Hemmy. However, I must say I never saw such a relationship in any of the books. I guess I was too focused on what Harry was doing.

I was entertained but it was still too much spectacle and not enough content. Making the dragon batlike was a great call, it's how I've always envisioned dragons (although I know there are several kinds in the Harry Potter universe). I've also never read the books and havn't seen the last two movies... I was surprised by the death at the end, though... I guess that's why the movie got a PG-13 instead of just a PG, although I still think this should be the uppermost of the PG rating IMO.
