Matchoo Posted August 26, 2004 Report Posted August 26, 2004 Who cares what celebrities think. I pay for them to make movies, music, etc, and not for their opinions on politics. If they want to band together for a good cause, why don't they protest child abuse or drug use.

ROFL Let me get this straight, we have a dried up rock 'n roll star entering the political arena to speak out against rock 'n roll stars speaking out in the political arena. At least he's right about one thing, he's a moron.

With the price of concert tickets these days ($30 and up), and the length of concerts these days (most are 90 mins to 2 hours tops), I know I'd be one mad SOB if I paid good money to see an artist perform, only to be suckered into a freakin Democratic/Anti-Bush whine-fest! It just goes to show to complete arrogance of some of these elitist Hollywood types who think we want to listen to political BS, when we paid to see a band perform music! The are many venues that they can proclaim their political views, and that's fine..it's a "free" country. Just don't make me BUY a ticket to concert and instead get a Democratic rally!

Erm...it's not like the people don't know what the whole concert is about anyway. Anyone who goes and is surprised to hear political rhetoric belongs in the same category as Alice Cooper. Save your ticket money for their regular concert tours and if they present their political views then, and you feel strongly that it's not the proper venue, leave. Live and learn.

I don't know how many concerts you've been to, but I've been to alot in my lifetime, and never once was there any sort of political, activist BS. Screw that! Live and learn my ass! Alice was right! I could care less about some artist's political views, activists notions or save-the-whales BS!..and I sure as hell wouldn't want to pay to have it shoved down my throat!
