LostInSpace Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 I've been watching this for a little bit so far on C-span. The 109th congress is in session today where a group of Democrats has started and are voicing their objection to the Ohio Electoral Votes and what they claim are so called irregularities. C-span: If the House and Senate uphold the objection, the Ohio electoral votes would be thrown out.
Kalshion Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 Didn't Kerry already tell these idiots NOT to bother? Saying that the election was authen and such? Sheesh... I'd say more but you all already know what I'm going to say about the demos, so I won't

I'd like to get my hands on that democratic proposal for dismissing the Ohio votes to see what other kind of nonsense is in there. I think they've pretty much lost their minds with the Bush win and will stop at nothing at this point to still try to get Kerry in office.
Steve Schacher Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 I thank my Senator Barbara Boxer for helping the Republican cause better than I ever expected her to.
street228 Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 Any individual, who has been following this issue, SHOULD be aware, that the irregularities sited, are NOT being brought to the fore-front, in order to get Kerry in the white house, but merely to insure the AMERICAN PUBLIC, that the irregularities are addressed....and that there be a more realistic, and accurate count in ALL areas of concern in future elections; thus eliminating the outcry which has followed the following two elections...closing the corruptable fields, which can be manipulated by ANY party. The sad part, is that the most important irregularity concerning this election, is being overlooked. The REPUBLICANS active combination and use of church's as a campaign force, is on the border of being unconstitutional. Not only in it's result, but in the actual advocation of such strategy. In the end, I think the Republican's will regret the precedents they have established for security of their political domination. These precedents will turn on them, when the Political power seat shifts in the future. "He who laughs last, laughs best" ROFLMAO

Every time that they lose an election, they start screaming, cheating, fraud, etc, when in fact the fraud and cheating that they perpetrate goes unnoticed, OFFICIALLY. THe fact of the matter is, the Democrats have been perpetrating illegal elections activities for the last 40 years, and the people are tired of it. The Democrat party is dead, and it will slowly over the next 10 years, disapear. Hopefully a more moderate party, and less criminal party will replace it. The Democrat party is out of touch with the voters, and the voters will continue to vote them out of office in such numbers that their cheating will be overpowered by REAL voters and REAL votes, just as it was in Ohio.

Did you not watch this? Did you also hear everything the Democrats did during this election? Anyway, this thought just occurred to me earlier: The democrats kept whining about voting problems well where the heck were they to insure this didn't happen to their voters? To me, they were admitting to the entire country and the world that they were either lazy and didn't care (figuring they could use it later to steal an election), There is so much in-fighting in their party they couldn't do anything (which was evident in yesterdays broadcast because the dems were split on this issue) or they are just a completely neutered party with no power to affect anything.

The REPUBLICANS active combination and use of church's as a campaign force, is on the border of being unconstitutional. Not only in it's result, but in the actual advocation of such strategy. the previous statement with it's ENTIRE concept intact!! You are right about being fully quoted. I myself was in a rush to get out to go to work and did a quick response. Now that I have time, let me pick this apart. 1: Pull the other one. If anyone were to believe that statement I'd personally have them committed. If, as you claim, they were only doing this to bring attention to the problems that exist and have existed in voting (since history began), why put it into context of trying to have the Ohio votes thrown out (and not other states that had similar problems). The Ohio votes would have been thrown out if the vote went to uphold the objection and would mean that Bush looses and Kerry wins. There are plenty of other ways to do this not the way they did. Just listen to some of the garbage the Democrats placed into the proposal that was submitted. Like the Super secret Agent sitting somewhere in washington changing Ohio votes in favor of Bush. Now I like a good conspiracy but that one is just way out there. It's such a stretch it probably reaches pluto. 2: Will never happen in anyone's life time. No matter how much you try to improve and spend to make the system seemingly better there's always going to be some nut jobs who still can't figure out what to do and mess up their vote and complain that the system is still broken and that it's a conspiracy and they've been disenfranchised. 3: Someone's paying attention from hearing all the examples of misconduct from both sides. I see you only site one issue about the Republicans. You watched this. Also state some of the Democrats misdeeds please. Believe me they are numerous. You were trying to be broad minded in your post but you lost impartiality when you just state the one issue about the Republicans. I state again this was nothing but an Democratic witch hunt to get the vote overturned in Ohio in favor of Kerry no matter how much you want to sugar coat it. With Michael "Please leave this country" Moore as the head hunter and instigator in all this just ask Senator Boxer. The way it's going it's starting to look like (to the entire world too): Democrat looses it's a Republican conspiracy. Democrat wins it was a fair election. Steve Schacher Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 quote:The sad part, is that the most important irregularity concerning this election, is being overlooked.I agree!!! The sad part is that they should be focusing on Washington State instead of Ohio. The governor's race is being stolen in plain sight over there.

I have been contacting the Rossi campaign, along with hundreds of thousands of others, telling him to FIGHT this thing. King County STOLE this election with FRAUD, CHEATING, and numerous other stunts. Some people ought to go to jail for this. There are SO MANY PROVABLE irregularities that it is INSANE!!!
LostInSpace Posted January 8, 2005 Author Report Posted January 8, 2005 Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I just read the Olympian. What a bunch of hypocrytes the Democrats are by standing in front of the entire nation and the world crying voting irregularities in the presidential election and for fixing the voting system but meanwhile continuing this trend or perpetrating it. Olympian: "Most people don't believe everything is quite right with this election," Rossi said. "We're going to get to the bottom of it and search it." State Democratic Party Chairman Paul Berendt said he thinks "the air is going out of the campaign" by Republicans to challenge the results and possibly force a new election Here's something from Nov. 27th 2004 Digital Brown-Pajamas: The Rossi campaign had these tough words for Christine Gregoire today: So far, in both the first count and the recount, Gregoire has gotten virtually everything she wanted: She succeeded in changing the rules so the Democratic Party could hand-deliver provisional ballots with questionable signatures to the King County Elections Department. She benefited from a partial hand-counting process in King County that clearly favored her. Yet she was unable to manipulate enough votes to overturn the result of the election, so now she appears ready to drag the state through a third count. Governor-Elect Rossi is prepared for whatever strategy Gregoire chooses, and will not stand idly by while she attempts to game the system. We believe that Governor-Elect Rossi will continue to maintain the lead in a fair and accurate recounting of the votes. So the question is, how far is Christine Gregoire willing to go, and at what point will she realize she has lost this race [and] concede?
Steve Schacher Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 Keep digging. There are about 3,850 more votes tallied than voters recorded as voting in King County. There are dead voters voting, about 500 voters with the same address -- the county registrar office, military votes sent out too late to be legally received, unvalidated provisional ballots mixed into the general ballot pool, mysteriously "found" ballots that were not included in the two machine recounts but that were added to the hand recount (one bunch "found" in a ballot machine in an unsecured warehouse), ballots that were "enhanced" by counters by blackening in ovals to make them "readable", Democrats obtaining a list of addresses and phone numbers of absentee voters whose signatures didn't match the requests to have them "fix" their absentee ballots for the hand recount, etc. The King County Elections official said that they certified the election without reconciling the votes counted with the votes cast, and admitted that the discrepancy is "larger than I'm comfortable with." When Rossi won the initial count by 250 votes, the Democrats called for a recount. Gregoire called it a "virtual tie." When that recount (which included the enhanced ballots and "fixed" absentee ballots) reduced his lead to 42 votes, they called for the hand recount. After the hand recount (which included a trip to the Washington State Supreme Court to allow the 750 mysteriously "found" ballots to be included in the hand recount) gave Gregoire a 124 vote lead, the Democrats declared victory and called for "healing" and to "move on." It's amazing that they can't accept a 125,000 vote win by Bush in Ohio, but a 124 vote win in Washington State is absolute victory even though a Rossi 250 vote win was a "virtual tie." BTW, the media is blacking this all out. I should include a cross-reference in the Media Bias topic.

Me is starting to thinks that this whole granstanding with the dems on the objection to the Ohio vote was a diversionary tactic to the Washington state issue along with the mainstream media black out of it. Until you and Jaguar brought it up, I hadn't a clue about it nor heard about it on the news only about the Ohio issue in the House and Senate. Hmmm, just a thought to ponder on.

They're now diminishing Bush's Ohio win by saying that if 75,000 votes in Ohio went the other way, Kerry would be president. They're also not looking into Pennsylvania, which was an even closer margin of victory than in Ohio. Kerry won Pennsylvania, BTW.
LostInSpace Posted January 8, 2005 Author Report Posted January 8, 2005 Thanks for that link Jaguar. At least I'm not the only one to notice the hypocrisy of the dems in national arena: quote: Nationally, Democrats Call For Recounts, Ballot Reform The hypocrisy of the Democrat media machine is particularly galling today, with crocodile tears shed for John KerryÔÇÖs long-dead White House dream the focus of coverage ÔÇô even as their apparatchiks defiantly breached every Congressional protocol in (what they presumed to be) a heroic show of defiance. In reality, however, their rhetoric only bolsters the legitimate outcry in our (the ÔÇ£otherÔÇØ) Washington ÔÇô where the revote campaign continues to pick up momentum. It seems that everywhere but Washington State there are calls by Democrat leaders for ÔÇ£minimum standards in the voting method throughout the United StatesÔÇØ and ÔÇ£an auditable paper trail for electronic and all voting machines,ÔÇØ ÔÇô or at least, so go reports in left-leaning media such as the Berkeley Daily Planet - and even from Michael MooreÔÇÖs inter-galactic headquarters, where John Kerry is quoted as saying: "It's critical that we investigate and understand any and every voting irregularity anywhere in our country, not because it would change the outcome of the election but because Americans have to believe that their votes are counted in our democracy." In California, 150 election reform protesters marched to the district offices of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, where according to an Associated Press report, protesters stated "If my vote counts, count my vote." Many activists blamed mainstream media for shifting Americans' attention from election problems to less substantive issues. "Even the Ukraine is getting a new election, but we're not because our government isn't interested, and the media has put our attention on the NBA brawls," said Mill Valley, Calif., resident Ted Newman, 47. Sounds kind of familiar, right? One website, run by an anonymous Democrat activist, opines: ÔÇ£Who am I? A private citizen concerned about: 1. the reliability of our election system, 2. the legitimacy of the 2004 election , 3. the legitimacy of all elections to come. That's it. There's nothing more to say.ÔÇØ No, say it, Democrat! Of course, we have Democrats like that in Washington State too. They are called ROSSI VOTERS, ÔÇ£DinocratsÔÇØ ÔÇô and they support efforts which are signing up thousands at ReVote Washington ÔÇô as are many Gregoire voters as well according to the sentiments expressed in this King5 News poll (free registration required). Still we wait, however, for news stories that connect the dynamic irony between Democrat party outcries for "count every vote" and "fairness" nationally - and their stone, cold silence in our state. Is the Wall Street Journal our only hope? How 'bout a New York Post - Western Edition? Anything is better than the sycophancy of our embedded Seattle media. Here's the link to this: Sound Politics
