Nazi Restitution Case

BERLIN, Germany (AP) -- A German court has rejected an appeal by the country's biggest retail chain over disputed property claimed by the heirs of a Jewish family that lost its department store fortune under the Nazis.

Very interesting case. Could be argued that so many variables could be involved in terms of their store (if the Nazi's didn't do their dirty deed) such as bankruptcy or they just wanted to sell the business etc.... Instead of the property award, I think I would have awarded the family what the net worth of their store in todays dollar value would have been. Just a bunch of thoughts.
