Florida agency rejected Schiavo abuse claims

(CNN) -- The Florida agency charged with protecting families and children concluded that the husband of Terri Schiavo was not abusive, as her parents bitterly contended, according to documents released Friday.

Unbelievable!! That my friends is a clear cut example of abuse of power. They clear the guy but because the Gov urged them they turn around and claim the opposite even though their findings didn't warrant it one bit.

Abuse of power to try and save an american citizens life, whose wishes were questionable, and whose husband had MILLIONS to gain by her death?

I don't think so, sorry LIS, but there is no question that the government should do all it can do, up to and including filing questionable charges when it comes to the possible murder of an American citizen who is supposedly protected by that same government.

Let me put it this way. Two wrongs don't make a right.

This agency spent years investigating this situation (from claims by the parents) and each and every time cleared the guy of any and all wrong doing. All of a sudden on the proding from Jeb Bush they turned a blind eye to their legal findings (with no justification what so ever) in favor of a politician. The ramifications of this are profound and scary. You may be dead set against the husband's actions in this but you should also hold the government and it's agencies in the same light.

Let me give you an example of where this can lead. Remember this is just a hypothetical.

Two people have been seperated for years with kids involved and visitation rights for let's say the father. Every now and again the wife would call in a complaint about physical and verbal abuse of the kids. The Children agency gets involved investigates and finds not one credible evidence to the wifes alligations each and every time. Many years pass and finally the husband wants a divorce. Now the wife calls in the bigs guns. Contacts her politician friend who has connections with the child welfare department and wham all of a sudden all those allegations have been proven true. The husband loses custody of the kids and is marked on record as a child abuser. You see where I'm going with this.
