Haggis Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 I had been waiting for Freelancer to arrive for about 5 years and when it finally did I was very disappointed. I had put all my hope and expectation on it since I really wanted a great all in one spacesimulator. Something like Elite, I-War, Freespace and Battlecruiser in one game. Unfortunately it didn't turn out well. The game's very dull and linear. A developer with such an enormous budget should have made a game better than any of the games named above but they didn't. If I were you Smart, I would be really proud of having made a game that's far better than the long awaited Freelancer. Let's hope Freelancer 2 will be a lot better than it's prequel. But at least it's good to know they are working on part 2.
