Supreme Cmdr Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 Another one bites the dust. Bye bye Eidos.
Captain McMahon Posted August 9, 2004 Report Posted August 9, 2004 Ubi! Oh great, goodbye Legacy of Kain!
Scrivener Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 At least Ubi Soft puts out some decent games from time to time. Don't remember the last time I played an Eidos game I can say I actually *liked*... maybe the original Hitman Codename 47?
Scrivener Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 The other Hitman games were watered down, dumbed down, Tom-Raideresque quick-release console trash. Expect 1 identical Hitman game a year until people get sick of it.
CedricB Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 0_o I don't really see that. I for one really hate Console ports as "Tomb-Raideresque quick-release console trash" due to the simplistic gameplay. However, I still found the second and third Hitman games to be rather complicated with nuances I wouldn't expect from a console port.
Guest kenny87 Posted August 14, 2004 Report Posted August 14, 2004 The problem with hitman is that you can just run around like a lunitic with an ak47, killing anything and everything that gets in your way, alot easier than doing it the stealthy clean way of avoiding direct combat and neatly picking off your targets. With no penaties I might add.
jamotto Posted August 14, 2004 Report Posted August 14, 2004 But, who wants to do it the easy way? Shame that Eidos has bit the dust, so many good games and good times.
CedricB Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 There are weapons you can unlock by doing all the missions with Silent Assassin Ratings. At least in the latest Hitman game, Contracts.
