Just out of curiosity,what happened to the dudes that developed the game 'Starflight', (Binary Systems ,published by Electronic Arts ) in which in part, this game is based?

Well, one of them is collaborating on Star Flight 3 (a fan based game). Which doesn't look to shabby. I posted about this in another thread some time back here's the link again StarFlight III

That's how I got interested in the Battlecruiser series to begin with.

Ah here's the thread I started Legacy Games. Read it and you will find some useful info. Including downling the orignal Star Flight game. Which, coincidentally, I just played again a few months ago. Like you, it's one of my old time favorites.
