Grizzle Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 It doesn't seem that the new line is much better than the 7800x. I may even go the nVidia route myself with my next upgrade. This is the second launch in a row tha ATI has failed to have sufficient supply in the retail channels. Not a good sign.
shihminhao Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 Yap! Even back to they announce CrossFire early this year,the R520 90nm design problem is make quite some discussions in Taiwan. I think ATI got a solid product line this time,but "Paper Launch" still not a good sign,even we got X1000 series reviews pop up,some cards are going to come a month or 2 months. By the way,the 7800GTX ROCK!!!

It is a 24 pipelined version of the X1800XT (16 pipes) and it should be clocked at 650mhz. It will be aout 50% faster than the 1800XT. (They have had the final version of the R580 in house for a month now.)
