IBM/AMD extended alliance

It appears that AMD is moving closer to IBM.

(A good indication that AMD thinks that it's unlikely that they can keep architectural advancements apace with Intel. SOI, strained Si, and their 65nm process all have been courtesy of IBM along with a few other items, but this looks to expand that somewhat as in I wouldn't be at all surprised to see aspects of the Power arch & cell uP to show up in AMD designs. It also explains why Intel lacks SOI IIRC.)
