Zane_Marlowe Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Hey, quick question because I was thinking more about how my machine doesn't meet the minimum spec for UCAWA. I'm thinking about maybe holding off on UCAWA until I get a machine that does meet the specs, but I was wondering if UC and UCAWA will be compatible with UC in MP given that they share a similar codebase apart from the upgraded graphics kernel. Would there be ongoing patches to UC as UCAWA and UCHI moves forward such that UC and UCAWA would be compatible in MP games for users on different kinds of machines?
Supreme Cmdr Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 UC and UCAWA are two different games. There isn't any mp interoperability. And they don't share the same graphics kernel, nor the new skeletal animation kernel, mp kernel etc etc. Did you even read the PDF product info file for UCAWA? Patches will continue to be released for UC, as appropriate.
Zane_Marlowe Posted December 2, 2004 Author Report Posted December 2, 2004 Ah, well, I think I misunderstood the degree of change in the "add-on." So what's a 2ghz athlon processor go for these days anyway?
