Viper2000 Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 I have lightwave 7.somthing. Will that work with BCM or should I use 3d max 5? [ 12-07-2002, 01:18 AM: Message edited by: Viper2000 ]
Epsilon 5 Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 currently the export plugins are only for 3ds max 3 and 4, and I think something is in the work for gmax and milkshape. I'm not sure, but I'm sure there's nothing for lightwave.
Pedro Pablo Laracuente Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 f i'm correct, plugins are only for max 2 and 2, though BCG will have a plugin for max 4. From my experience all plugins i've tried that are for max 4 work with max 5 so you don't need to downgrade if you have 3dstudio max VEr. 5.
Viper2000 Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 I think I might have an older version of 3D Max lying around somewhere. Good thing its 3d max I hate lightwave.
Viper2000 Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Darn. The oldest version I have is 4.2
Viper2000 Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Okay I found version 3.0 and I was wondering it there has been a plug in for importing models? [ 12-07-2002, 05:23 PM: Message edited by: Viper2000 ]
Pedro Pablo Laracuente Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 i've only seen exporters. I seriously doubt there are any importers...
Viper2000 Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 Okay Ive got a problem with my 3D max. The problem is with merging objects. I made a ship with several shapes linked together and when I went to export it into 3d format it said please select one node. SO I selected all the parts and hit export and it said the same thing again. It appears that I can only export one at a time. Is there any way to merge them?
