CommanderJohnson Posted January 2, 2002 Report Posted January 2, 2002 It was horrible when the B5 game for PC was canceled. When playing Freespace, I thought it'd be great to mod it to B5 (because of the laser beams cutting into ships), but I doubt that the MOD for it is any good. I'll probably go get it, but someone really should develop a complete B5 space sim, or at least a REALLY good mod for BCM. If the MOD itself were good, I bet a lot of people would buy BCM just to play it. B5 rocks....

B5 rocks....Like I said, I do a 100% mod of B5 using the current BCM engines (even without the planned XP1 graphical enhancements) but since I don't have the license, I don't want to get involved in any kind of legal protracted nonsense. And I'm not going to get involved in any end user mod where people don't come through on their commitments.[ 01-02-2002: Message edited by: Supreme_Cmdr ]

Nah realistically, its going to take much more than that and loads of other legal hassle. Personally thats why I like original games more as you are not confined to a certain set universe and if you break it, you won't have fans complaining about it (remember missiles in SFC?).If there's any mod I want for BCM it's going to have to be Gallion's "Final Stand Script". *hint hint*
cougarxg1 Posted January 10, 2002 Author Report Posted January 10, 2002 Now that my extended holiday vacation has ended I finally have several converted models for b5. Has the legality become to extreme to send them in?

Has the legality become to extreme to send them in?Well, I didn't hear from you, so I deleted all the ones you previously sent.I was over at the B5 Tech Manual site a few weeks ago, checking to see if it was complete - in that it had all the ship types used by the all the B5 alien races and it seems to.This time, when you send them in, please try to stick to these simple rules.Make sure that the mesh and textures for the model, are in the SAME zip file.Make sure that the ZIP (or RAR) archive file has the same name as the model you are zipping in them. One mesh and its textures per archiveUnless you (or someone else) is commited to sending in ALL the B5 ships used by the characters in the series, don't bother.
