latest radeon and sound blaster drivers.

I have now started a new ROAM game. Just input name and name of ship and begin.

Click command craft orders.

Click TOW.

exits to desktop with illegal opertation.

Well if you give the TOW 'nothing' command (which is what you're trying to do) and it crashes, what does that tell you?

Anyway I just tried it exactly as you described and it works just fine. Even when I launched a support unit and towed it.

I was just clicking on tow. didn't get to select the nothing part.

I downloaded another update with updater... says 1.00.16.01 and it went away.

A problem with the game was never there to begin with. You hosed your installation as evidenced from another thread in which you posted about having patching problems.

well I clean installed it twice, that was why I posted.

And now you've patched it properly and it works. Towing never was a problem to begin with so something must have go awry somewhere.

me too thanks. I might get kicked in the shins for saying this but I suspected something was wrong with my install but I just could not figure it out, and since me Mr. Vet couldn't figure it out, in my frustration I came here.

It was doubly frustrating too if you've read my ACM discussions post. I was/am having a BLAST IN BOLD with A World Apart episode one.
