Though CO is used as an abbrev. for the Combat Officer on board a carrier, you folks will have to make the distinction, in context. So, if, for instance, someone is the CO of a station or base, you know he's not a Combat Officer. And the CO of a base, is also subjected to the rank structure for officers in the game world. That rank structure, depending on what Ristar is going to send me, is different from that used by in-ship officers. At least thats what I think.
