The disruption was due to a missing D3DX9_43.DLL file which is new in the June 2010 DirectX SDK which this patch was built against. Remote servers running Windows Server will NOT have this file. So will have to either run the latest dxsetup.exe file on the server in order to update the DirectX install to the June 2010 runtime or you will have to copy that DLL file from your local machine (which is assumed to be already updated) to the console server folder (where the game executable resides) on your remote server machine.
